Parecía ser un día de cumbre prometedor
Eran las 2 de la mañana en el Campamento Nido de cóndores (5500 msnm). Como de costumbre, prendimos los calentadores para empezar a calentar el agua y preparar los desayunos. Hacía frío pero se veía un día de cumbre prometedor.
Luego de tener el agua caliente, les pedimos los termos a los clientes y los llenamos para que puedan desayunar en sus carpas. Preparamos quesadillas, budín entre otras cosas y luego se lo llevamos a las carpas. Ya a las 4 de la mañana todos estábamos listos para salir. Nos dimos un abrazo deseándonos lo mejor entre nosotros y empezamos a caminar.
Todo venía bien hasta que a unas 2 hs de la cumbre, uno de ellos, se empezó a marear. La falta de oxígeno a esas alturas hace que a uno le cueste moverse y a veces, coordinar los movimientos, se hace difícil. Tomó agua, comió unas barras energéticas y seguimos a un ritmo lento.
