Welcome all ultra runners to Al Marmoom Ultramarathon, the world’s longest desert ultramarathon, being held in Dubai UAE, 2020.
Now in its 2nd year, AMUM20 is set to be even more exciting as the distance extends to 300 kms over the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve’s extraordinary landscape.
The world’s top ultra runners will battle it out for a share of the US$ 100,000 prize purse.
AMUM20 also offers 2 additional races of lessor distances that still test human endurance, the grueling 110kms 24 hour race and challenging 50 kms.
The top rankings will receive prize money in all 3 races and all finishers will receive medals and t shirts.
CHALLENGING THE LIMITS OF HUMAN ENDURANCE
Al Marmoom Ultramarathon comprises 3 races all set to test the limits of human endurance.
The main 300 kms challenge to be completed in 5 days is the world’s longest desert ultramarathon. There will also be a 24 hour continuous 110km ultra run and 50km charity race.
All three distances are self- sufficient, with water and tents supplied. They will take place across challenging desert terrain in the magnificent Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve, Dubai UAE.
The terrain will change from hard stony tracks to high sand dunes, and the route will include overnight camping, 5 stages and regular check points.
Al Marmoom Ultramarathon tests physical endurance, courage and determination as runners take in the incredible desert landscape, passing rare and migratory wildlife.
