An athletic challenge accessible to all
The Trophée Roses des Sables is an athletic challenge made for women, an orienteering rally-raid accessible to all with a roadbook and a compass only: students, working women, busy mothers, young seniors or dynamic grand-mothers participate each year from more than ten countries such as France, Belgium, Switzerland, Morocco or Canada.
Towards Morocco!
After the departure village in the Basque Coast, the wonderful region where Désertours was founded, they cross Spain and Gibraltar to start exploring the Moroccan coast in Tangier and reach the Southern desert of the country.
The Trophée Roses des Sables includes six stages among which the famous marathon stage (48 hours of autonomy) and the dunes crossing stage where they have to try and cross this majestic golden sand mountains at the limits of the Sahara desert.
Inspired by the spirit of the Africans rally-raids, the Trophée Roses des Sables excludes any speed notion. Thanks to their precious roadbook and their compass, each day pilots and co-pilots follow their rhythm and only have to respect two mandatory things: the imposed checkpoints along the itinerary and the maximum number of covered kilometres for each stage.
In full security, the often beginners Roses enjoy following the tracks of the famous Paris-Dakar pilots, this mythical race that was born on the African tracks. Far from their comfort zone, all the participants, even the experts, discover unexpected strength and skills through the moments they share with their teammate, the other participants and above all with the local population during the solidarity event of the race.
The Trophée Roses des Sables supports causes that are very important for women. Through their participation in this solidarity rally in Morocco the Roses give their support to four different associations:

- The Breakfast Club
- Le cancer du Sein, Parlons-En!
- French Red Cross
