I am on a solo trekking adventure at the Himalayas Mountains in Nepal, and at some point when the road becomes difficult (both literally and figuratively speaking) I can not avoid starting doubting about myself. I start to question everything about my abilities to reach my aim. Just there where I took a break to clear my head and rest my legs, I looked up to these colorful Buddhist prayer flags. Up there, really high altitude, and completely isolated, these flags were left by someone who follows their beliefs and is committed to them regardless of the challenges around. I felt encouraged to keep going, always.

I am Francisca, from Ganz in Austria. I am challenging myself to trek all along the Annapurna Himalayan chain in Nepal, to raise funds for a small community in Pokhara. These funds are helping people to create sustainable livelihoods, offering them microcredits and support during the process. I will walk about 320km in total and would like to raise at least 10 euros per km I walk. With this initial target, I will be able to help 7 to 8 families to start up a small business such a bakery or a room to host tourists for example. After my trek, I will stay 2 months in Nepal offering business development workshops and advice as best as I can. Your support will make their lives better. Many thanks for that.
