Spread the joy
This little girl spreading joy reminds me of how powerful a smile can be. She was greeting me as I arrived in her tiny village located up in the Himalayas Mountains in Nepal. I was just finishing a very long day of trekking, feeling tired and cold, thinking to myself that the only important thing to do next was to find a place to sleep. But I was wrong, the only important thing I had to do was smiling in return, and enjoy the joy.

I am Francisca, from Ganz in Austria. I am challenging myself to trek all along the Annapurna Himalayan chain in Nepal, to raise funds for a small community in Pokhara. These funds are helping people to create sustainable livelihoods, offering them microcredits and support during the process. I will walk about 320km in total and would like to raise at least 10 euros per km I walk. With this initial target, I will be able to help 7 to 8 families to start up a small business such a bakery or a room to host tourists for example. After my trek, I will stay 2 months in Nepal offering business development workshops and advice as best as I can. Your support will make their lives better. Many thanks for that.
